Friday July 22nd
A whirlwind of a day trying to get 29 errands done before departing for Europe this evening.
Ran out to get some stuff from the trailer, ordered new professional ear plugs, groceries, fuel and auction pickups and it was 3 pm.
Got everything packed as Krista arrived home with newly tinted lashes and we furiously finished packing with a houseful of hungry grumpy people.
Our shuttle service arrived (Thank you again Caroline) and we bravely took Deerfoot to the airport.
It's always so much easier getting dropped off as it hugs and away you go. Checked in and went through security. We didn't bring our Nexus passes but were directed that way and breezed through security in record time!
We grabbed a bite to eat at a sit down restaurant Chili's - had some great food and a very nice visit with the manager. We discussed the posted picture of 2 slain Albertans - mother Sarah Bailley and her daughter Taliyah. Sarah had worked at this location 5 days a week for the years. I can't imagine the pain the staff must be experiencing throughout this horrible ordeal.
We were to leave by 1015 but late boarding and a suspect package delayed us til 11.
The plane was huge and spectacular with hundreds of video options to chose from. Free headphones, toothbrushes and alcohol was interesting. International flights apparently have a few more perks.
Electronically dimming windows were pretty cool too.
Suddenly we gained 7 hours and it was early Saturday morning.
